Allegiance to God

I pledge allegiance to my God;
Who created every nation.
I pledge to walk in dominion, authority and might
And to faithfully guard my station.

I pledge allegiance to His cause;
To help His Kingdom grow
And to share the truths found in His Word
Everywhere I go.

I pledge to walk in His power
All the rest of my days.
And to awaken in heart to righteousness
As I understand more clearly His ways.

I pledge to speak His perfect will
And see it manifest
And to stand in faith through every trial
As I successfully pass each test.

I vow to walk confidently through valleys and to never stand in doubt
For I am persuaded in my mind that He will always deliver me out.
I promise to resist all evil reports and to enter quietly into His rest.
For my attitude is that of trust in God to bring unto me His best.

So, I pledge my allegiance to my God
Who loves me without fail
And I align my mouth to speak His word
As I live the prophecy He did foretell.

I mentioned earlier in the last blog that I'd finished with my family members but I'd be remissed if I didn't mention several other people all at once and then end this with my beautiful baby girl.

My family is huge and my love for them even more than that. I have been blessed with an awesome crew; they are beautiful, handsome, intelligent, talented, couragous, honorable and I can not overlook any of them.

Niece and Nephews: Lakisha, Arthur, Latoya, Terese, CJ, Courtney, Brandon, Terrell, Marshay, Donte, Kendre, Kye, Ivory, Khalil, D'Koby, Kiana, Ciara, Kidesha, Paris, Kaylee... oh my, that's alot to remember. Not to mention their beautiful children. I love each of you and thank God for the time we have shared and will share. It has been an honor to be a part of your lives and to watch each of you grow and mature. For those of you who are not close by, I love you and pray for you daily. May God richly bless and keep, honor and teach all of you HIS statures and ways and may you all come to KNOW and accept Jesus into your life (if you've not already). I pray wholeness for each of you and perfection in the places of purpose that God has preordained for you. God Bless, Aunt Deede.

To the host of cousins here on FB, I love you and for those of you who have played an intregal role in my life on any level (you KNOW who you are), I thank God for sending you and using you to help develop me. To my extended family (Declouet and Jones, etc)... thank you for your love and support of me all these years. It's been over 18 years of KNOWING and growing with you. I appreciate the love that is still shown to me by you and the continued help and acceptance of Ty in your homes, hearts and lives... I know what you're thinking, she is your family and you are absolutely right. I LOVE Y'ALL and pray God's hand of Power and heart of LOVE for each of you forevermore. May God Bless YOU Always.

NOW, my darling heart... what can I say? MY life completely changed at your birth. You are the second true ministry that I had and the first that I recognized. It was YOU, before you ever breathed your first breath, who inspired me to change. It was knowing I was responsible for a life that made me rethink my decisions and take a close look at what I call life... I now know that I wasn't living at all until I surrendered to Christ and that was inspired by the idea of you.

The woman I am today is because of the example I wished to be for you and that example has allowed me to share the transforming principles of Christ's Word with others. Still today you inspire ministries by teaching me. If I deal with something challenging with you, I realize that I am not the first, nor will I be the last and in that I think to do something with this knowledge that will empower others. "Finding ME... More" is a testament of that in this earth. I journey not in vain because I constantly use the insight given me to make someone else's journey a little bit easier.

I continue to look to the time when we will walk in this capacity together; however, in the meantime... it is my complete JOY and HONOR to pour into, nurture and prepare you for your next roles in life. YOU are my ministry, Tyler Danielle and the true love of my life. A beautiful composition of and from a beautiful FATHER... a happy, healthy, joy-filled reminder of what was (Daniel), what is (US) and what is to come... (Abundance) and I am forever grateful for the role of being your mom. YOU keep a smile on my face and I know your prayers cover me daily... I smile even more knowing that YOUR LOVE will forever remain even after life.

I smile at the thought of writing this particular blog. It is to HONOR my last sibling and it ushers in a new paradigm of Honor beyond this realm; however, the smile that is upon my face is not one of relief for the new place... the smile comes when I think of today's recipient.

I do not wish to brag but I feel like I'm about to; it's like you can't help yourself. I LOVE and LIKE Joycelyn because she's AWESOME!

I have watched my little sister, whom I used to babysit at a very early age, blossom into a beautiful, intelligent and accomplished young woman. I am so proud... she just graduated from High School and attained a Certification while there, she was a Co-Captain of the dance team @ Northside High School and still dances today having traded the applause of the students for the admiration and applause of the church. She is a hard worker, kind, loving and consistent which is something that a lot of people struggle with.

Consistence means you are the same way every time... now, to be truthful, we all have changes in mood: happy, sad, laughing, crying, feeling pain, or extreme joy... this is not what I'm referring to. I am talking about character and being able to trust that beyond emotions she is the same with me and all around her. She is committed to her family (often becoming my designated babysitter) and doesn't complain (much). I love that I can depend on someone I trust with one of my most prized possession... my daughter, Tyler.

Joycelyn, because this is for you today, I wish to remind you of the days that make me smile when I think of you, they are: the day you graduated from Ms. Grace Dance Academy and I rewarded that accomplishment with my beloved collectible porcelain musical dancing doll... words could not express the feelings that overwhelmed me that night as I watched in amazement the anointing that is upon you to dance. It was with complete joy and pride that I sat there, like I was your mom instead of your sister. I still feel that protective, maternal feeling towards you (perhaps b/c I had the joy of nurturing your life from the very beginning, ;-)). The second occasion is the night of the YOUTH/YOUNG ADULT EXTRAVAGANZA, wow!!! I will never forget the way your liturgical/mime dance ministered to me... girl, you are definitely anointed and God has truly put a divine gift in you for it.

I look forward to our conversations and your next moves.

You are an amazing woman, always remember that and as you journey through life, it is my prayer that God increases HIS hold upon you and that you make this world stand up and take notice of the LIGHT OF GOD on the inside of you. An anointing like yours is not made for small settings, though we are not to despise small beginnings, they prepare us for the LARGE things God has in store for us.

I Love YOU, Kishaun... keep doing what you're doing... YOU MAKE ME SMILE cause YOU MAKE ME PROUD!!!

Inseparable... that was us!

Twins is what everyone thought, though two years separates our age. Rhonda and I have a unique relationship and because of that, you won't read about it in its entirety here; rather, you'll feel the Honor by what is NOT written.

I respect her for many different reasons: her persistence, dedication to life and those in hers, her taste and tenacity; however, the reason that I'll focus on today is... HER HONESTY!

"Realness" in today's society is rare; but, REAL she is. I have learned over the years to trust her honesty and though I may not always agree, I do consider and respect her view because I know it comes from a pure place. When you speak of this particular trait in an individual, it requires a lot of discretion. This type of person is invaluable in your life, you honor them and the roles they play so much that you don't do anything to hinder and harm it.

I love Rhonda and our relationship... we laugh a lot together, we speak honestly and truthfully without fear of being judged; we plan together and though we live different lives (we all do), they are very similar in terms of moral, parental and social beliefs. We both are very private when it comes to certain things and we honor that in and about each other. Trust is earned, not just given, and I TRUST her and her heart towards all things Dee. She is my little sis and one of my best friends and no matter where life takes us, she will always hold that title.

I respect and admire the intelligent woman that you are (Ms. Valedictorian) and the life that you have built for your family. You deserve to be HONORED for your commitment to excellence, your diligence and your many achievements.

I Love you always, and respect you even more. You have always played a special role in my life and I want you to know that when it was time to transition into the NEW those many years ago, it was YOUR input and undeniably heartfelt truth that helped me make the final decision. Still today, the thought of that day evokes an emotion of gratefulness for your presence in my life. I am the woman I am today, in part, because of your heart, for when you saw what you deemed unjust in my life, you had the courage and fiery determination to speak on it and see change. Your truth and honesty over 10 years ago won over any excuse I may have made prior. Thank YOU for that and I thank God for using YOUR TRUTH to break through the LIE and set me FREE.

Grounded, HUMBLED, and Blessed!

How do you hold on to your history while reaching for your prophecy and walking in your destiny? Did you get that? Well, to be sure, let's take it one step at a time.

1.) History ~ not necessarily what you've been through; rather, who were you growing up and what things you liked then? What was fun to you? Who (family) did you love and why (this helps you to gain a unique appreciation for them)? What did they add to you? What did you LEARN from them that has equipped you for this journey your on? What were the things that brought you the most JOY and felt like God to you?

Example:
As a young girl I'd lie on my back, looking up at the sky and watch the clouds. I always loved landscapes and different scenery; I loved nature... hearing birds chirping, winds blowing and even rainfall. Today I still enjoy watching the shapes of the clouds, the sunset or rise, the stars and the moon; I still like the sound the rain makes on the windowpane... I love the rain when I'm not driving in it :-).

I carried that with me all these years, it makes me smile and brings me JOY!

2.) Prophecy ~ not a word in the future per se; rather, that thing on the inside of you that calls to you, pulls at you and longs for you to release it in this Earth. It is your purpose for living; you're WHY? Why do I exist; that "reason" is your prophecy. It is that thing that God had in mind for you when HE strategically, perfectly and meticulously designed you. HE has already equipped you for this thing; everything for its fulfillment lies within you... it sits dormant, awaiting your discovery and/or release. Another way of KNOWING this is by identifying the things that you are great at. Those things you could do with your eyes closed, they are so natural to you that it comes to you like breathing. This is
the purpose, promise and prophecy that God spoke over you during your creation. He fashioned you for it, nobody can do "THAT" like you. You're anointed for it and it brings you complete peace and JOY!!!

Example:
I love to write, right now as I sit I have things that were pulling at me and getting me out of my peaceful place... this time alone with God (by way of the Spirit) has allowed me to release that burden. I've given it over to Him, not on purpose, though I did that through prayer earlier, but subconsciously, without even thinking about it; I am made aware that I am thinking about this and NOT that and I have JOY and I feel and KNOW that God is present.
Operating here brings a PEACE which passes understanding!

3.) Destiny ~ did you know that you're walking in it right now. Presently we create our destiny!!! Every step you take, every move you make, you are literally designing, creating and/or changing your future. Your today is sown into tomorrow and so forth. Every word spoken, every seed planted, every soul saved or edified through your existence in this life. It's a part of your today which is shaping your tomorrow.

Example:

I read a book recently by Jeff Olson called "The Slight Edge" and in this phenomenal book, Jeff explains the difference between where you are now and what we'll call success; arriving where you want or wish to be (prophecy). He says, in this fast paced society we've forgot about the one element that we can't control but that we often lose sight of in rush to the finish line of life and that is time. We have forgotten the process portion of everything. Time ~ each of us have the same amount of it allotted to us daily; the question is, what are you doing with it? Are you enjoying this gift that we've often taken for granted and rarely acknowledged as we race to the next technological invention. Time invested in action today, action tomorrow and the next day will yield a crop of that action multiplied and it will gain its own momentum tomorrow and a steady natural flow for the duration of your existence. A steady progression of destined action will lead you to that place that you were searching for all along.

To remain grounded (rooted) remember your history; but, not the bad stuff only. We give too much energy to those things; rather, look with focused eyes to the places of your beginnings. These are those places or times that you’ve stumbled upon, ran across or walked into a new thing that you loved. We experience many firsts in life and a lot of them become a part of our being as we adapt to it. We add it to our person just as naturally as we add water and sugar to kool-aid and create something totally different in texture, flavor and form. It mixes and blends into you becoming second nature to you; like you've just put on a coat or added a layer of clothing.

To remain humbled (level-minded) means to do all you can with all you have and remain in a place of approachability, teachable, personable and honest in this one truth; no one race, gender or denomination are any better than the next. We all were created by Greatness, in Greatness for the sole purpose of manifesting Greatness in the Earth. (Greatness is interchangeable with GOD). We KNOW that God does nothing in vain; there is a purpose for everything He does, so that fact that He created us is reason to celebrate. Think not more highly of yourself than you ought; give love and respect to all.

To be blessed means to be empowered to prosper, to be established in truth and certain in all things. Whatever your goal in life may be, I pray that attached to your purpose is a people. We are blessed to be a blessing and many times we hear this in terms of financially; however, we can bless and be blessed daily by sharing a hug, and love.

Give of yourself in a different capacity than monetary and I guarantee the reward in HEAVEN and EARTH will be yours.

The love reciprocated, gratitude expressed and the appreciation given from one person to the next is so fulfilling. Blessings flow where there are a blessed places and people. If you’d take from your treasure (knowledge, wisdom, understanding, prayer, hugs, love, TIME and resources like money) and invest that into someone else, you'll have your reward in both realms because this is what we are here for. We are here to fill completely and subdue totally, the earth with the presence of God ALIVE IN US.

Embrace who you've been (grounded - HISTORY) ; reach for where you’re going (Humbled ~ PROPHECY) and start now with what you own and possess (Blessed and Destined ~ DESTINY)...

Remember your History, Pursue your Destiny and you will LIVE your Prophecy!

Today I wish to HONOR my sister, Lenette. It wasn't difficult at all to know for what, she possess COURAGE like no one else I've known. Yep, that's right, COURAGE... she has the uncanny ability to stare opposition in the face, do whatever is necessary and when the dust settles, you best believe, she is still standing.

There were a few things that I could've shared about her; but, when it all balls down to it, this is what I see in every situation. She is "warrior" strong; like Daniel going into the Lion's Den because he chose to still pray to his God, like Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-Nego going into the fiery furnace because they refused to bow down. She can even be likened unto Joshua leading the Children of Israel, after Moses death, into the Promised Land, my sister is a pioneer.

She is intelligent and fearless. Whatever she wants, whatever she desires, she goes for it! It reminds me as a Christian that the Lord requires us to be and do the same. We should be able to look adversary in the eye, stand with an iron-clad resolve that come hail or high waters, we will not be moved... I'm going to stand, no matter how hard the winds may blow or how long the storm clouds roll; I trust… I am steadfast and unmovable!

It takes confidence in oneself to do the things she's done. She was the first of our clan to pick up all her belongings, along with her children and move to an unknown land. It's funny because half of us are here where she first decided to move. She's an explorer, a warrior, confident and sure; she's a fearless fighter and whether she is fighting spiritually or naturally, it doesn't really matter... what matters is that she believes she can. Whether, she wins or shrinks back in defeat (rare); she is wise enough to be able to fight another day and that is what is required in life. Intelligence, courage, fearless determination, strength, confidence, and wisdom... now, add CHRIST and WOW!!! You now have a David on your hands, the kind of warrior that kills lions, bears and Goliaths; not just his thousands as Saul did; rather, his (or her) tens of thousands. How many enemies have she slain in her lifetime; only God knows, but I’m sure it ranks “HIGH” up there!

I love my sister, I REALLY DO... she's shown me a lot through the years without ever realizing it. When facing a difficult situation or when the storms of life come beating at the door, as they sometimes do, I stand and though I have the Word of God as reference to KNOW that the Lord will see me through, I also have Lenette, warrior princess, who smiles in the face of enemy, draws her sword, with her own armor of choice (David refused to wear Saul’s), takes her stance and fearlessly goes to war. She is such a sight to see... I pause only briefly as I am reminded of one of my favorite movies at the moment, Secretariat; I hear the scripture being stated at intro of the movie. God is speaking to Job (Job was complaining) as HE says to him: “Do YOU make the horse that runs fearlessly out to war... etc”?

God made my sister Lenette, just as HE did that astounding thoroughbred, and HE put in her a quick mind, precise hands, and fearless heart, as well as, stamina and endurance... she possesses the strength and courage of a winner.

That's who and what she is. J. Lenette Poole ~ pioneer, warrior princess and winner!!! I have my own action figure live in front of me and I LOVE ME SOME... HER!

My big sis has been a major inspiration to me! I have always looked up to Theresa and let me tell you why. This woman has style; she can dance like nobody’s business and was always doing something awesome to that naturally
curly hair of hers.

Of all my sisters, she was the one I’d always tried to emulate.

Ok, so I spent many hours in the mirror watching her transform; she’d put on her makeup, comb her gorgeous mane and come out looking even more beautiful then she entered. I’ll never forget watching her burn eyeliners (yes, I was paying attention… don’t do it thoughJ), mix grease and water to make her hair shine (I think I messed my hair up one day trying to do that :-) ) and if I was ever jealous of anything, it would be that of all the girls in this family, Theresa is the one who came out with daddy’s HAZEL eyes (you know those should have been mine. LOL). Ok, enough about that, let’s have some REAL TALK.

Can anybody remember those high school fancy dancers??? Well, Ms. Tee was one of them and she’d come home doing splits and kicks; practicing those new routines, she knew every popular dance their was and she
OWN them; if that wasn’t enough, she also danced with our brother’s group; popping and locking… you guessed it, SHOW STOPPING! This girl is BADDDD!!!! She used to create dances for us to perform for our parents… we had a singing/dance group and it consisted of her, my lil sis, and myself; we always had a blast.

I remember when I first began to feel the tug of my entrepreneur’s spirit; I use to tell T., I’m going to open a hair salon – fitness studio combo and we’re going to offer dance. YOU (her) are going to be the choreographer! Talent like hers just can’t be wasted. Theresa is also one of the first members in our family to work in management and guess who followed in her footsteps, yeah, that would be me!!!

Tee, I love you and I never realized until I began doing these blogs how much I have gleaned from y’all over the years. You have been an inspiration and apparently a tremendous influence in my life. Watching you achieve so much helped me to garner a determination to do the same. I now possess an “I can do all things, achieve anything, and have the very best of anything” kind of attitude and though I give all credit for that to God and HIS

Word, I smile knowing that I first SAW it manifested in you.

I love you so much and pray that this day, for you, has been one of the HAPPIEST BIRTHDAYS EVER!!! Your little sister is proud of you and is always in your corner routing you on.

Can anybody remember those high school fancy dancers??? Well, Ms. Tee was one of them and she’d come home doing splits and kicks; practicing those new routines, she knew every popular dance their was and she OWNED them; if that wasn’t enough, she also danced with our brother’s group; popping and locking… you guessed it, SHOW STOPPING! This girl is BADDDD!!!! She used to create dances for us to perform for our parents… we had a singing/dance group and it consisted of her, my lil sis, and myself; we always had a blast.

I remember when I first began to feel the tug of my entrepreneur’s spirit; I use to tell T., I’m going to open a hair salon – fitness studio combo and we’re going to offer dance. YOU (her) are going to be the choreographer! Talent like hers just can’t be wasted. Theresa is also one of the first members in our family to work in management and guess who followed in her footsteps, yeah, that would be me!!!

Tee, I love you and I never realized until I began doing these blogs how much I have gleaned from y’all over the years. You have been an inspiration and apparently a tremendous influence in my life. Watching you achieve so much helped me to garner a determination to do the same. I now possess an “I can do all things, achieve anything, and have the very best of anything” kind of attitude and though I give all credit for that to God and HIS

Word, I smile knowing that I first SAW it manifested in you.

I love you so much and pray that this day, for you, has been one of the HAPPIEST BIRTHDAYS EVER!!! Your little sister is proud of you and is always in your corner routing you on.

What IS this season we seem to be experiencing in bulk???

Many women asking me the same question... what do we do after a breakup? You know, in that awkward phase when you miss what you've become accustom to, like: long conversations, quality time, quiet time alone, someone to laugh with and for you to say "I love you" to and they reciprocate. Here's my advice: pray, own your feelings, let it out (cry if need be), release them in LOVE and TRUST GOD for the mending of your hearts and for better times to come. TIME heals all wounds... TIME, not ANOTHER man. Another man will only confuse the situation and your feelings.

True WHOLENESS comes when you are able to honestly assess your feelings. Realness precedes WHOLENESS, and WHOLENESS precedes BLESSEDNESS! God will bless you with what and who you deserve when you are whole and ready. Remember, our Father loves that person or "type of person" you are praying for just as much as HE loves you and HE will never give them to you if you're not ready because YOU will abuse HIS GIFT and this "gift" is also His child. So, heal and deal with yourself first. Write in a journal, start a blog, focus on your career, children, fitness or any other positive activity. Become a better you by being proactive in your complete development and you will walk into a better season without even realizing it.

This journey will be like any other... one step at a time but in the end. YOU WILL REACH YOUR DESTINATION ~ a whole woman ready to receive a whole man... two that can become one flesh and compliment one another in the most fulfilling way.

My HONOREE today is my sister and friend, Jacqueline “Jackie” Poole. What can I say about my LOVE? I won’t make this long because it’s not necessary. She was loving, giving, compassionate, my friend, and most trusted confidante. She was my Bestie and Women of Destiny’s first member, investor and a true believer in what it was and is to be. She was my sounding board for every situation, for this tremendous vision that God was revealing and my confidence in LOVE… never will I ever forget her words to me during a trying time and after a major breakup in my life. “I don’t care what anybody else says or does, what you think or how you feel… you need to know that if no one else ever loved or loves you… I DO and always have”.

My confidence in LOVE is what my sister assured me that day and that is this: there is never an instance in my existence that I should ever think that I was not loved because her love is ever-present… I still feel it today. Thank you, JP, for your insistence that day… you made sure that I received those words in my heart and spirit. When I am having a bad day, feeling alone or briefly unloved, I remember you and what you spoke so passionately, ardently and powerfully that evening at Amelia Manor. I carry you, your words and that moment with me in my spirit everyday and I know beyond a shadow of doubt that LOVE is with me, in me and FOR ME.

Jackie was the inspiration for Debra’s Poetic Justice, the poem written in her honor was the first one I’ve ever recited publicly… though at her funeral, the response to it was tremendous and the confirmation that it was not the only time God would use me in that capacity came week after week. Now poetry has grown into a lucrative business for me, one that has blessed homes, families, ministries, etc. all over the US and the poetry portion of Women of Destiny, LLC is forever dedicated to her.

This is dedicated to the one I Love & LIKE… today it’s in loving memory of my beloved sister and friend, Jacqueline M. Poole.

What can I say about big brothers??? Every girl secretly wishes for one and this girl has one!!! I love my brother, my PROTECTOR!!! Yep, that's right... mess with me and you'll be surprised at the response. My big bro has always protected his sisters (there were 6 of us) and you'd be crazy to want to feel his wrath... like, seriously. LOL

My brother is cool though, down for whatever... barbecues, crawfish boils, family gatherings, dominoes, pity pat, shooting pool, etc. He's awesome, funny, MESSY (I cried many days until I realized he meant no harm and just spoke hard... lol; I can be tough as nails but there was a time that he (and he alone) could make me lose my bearings... so glad that time is OVER). He loves to watch movies and he has an huge collection... were I to live next to him; Redbox and Blockbuster would never see me again. :-) My brother has the most beautiful handwriting in the world, calligraphy just seems to be his left-handed writing style and one I have secretly admired for the longest time.

So, what do I remember about my awesome brother??? I remember a day in middle school when we had to do a project and I needed a ROSE, a pretty one, drawn on my posterboard... I struggled and then asked him to do it for me. HE is soooooooooooo talented as an artist. I kept that rose until the paper wore out :-) and then copying his lead; he took the drawing test, I attempted the same... I guess I didn't realize it but I respected his creativity and skill. He made a 99 on that test, if I remember correctly, and I made a 95! He is one of the cleanest men I know and yet he's my second mechanic of choice, just as good as his daddy. I Love my brother... and I remember the breakdance crew he either established or just danced on... it was so entertaining to watch him, my sister and Kenny Boo handle their business in the livingroom... creating unique dance steps and blowing my mind with the electric boogaloo, the robot and the pop... they had it going on... yes, they did :-). He used to bring my lil sis and I to the movies or to his home for sleepovers that allowed us to watch unlimited movies.

He is a man of multiple skills and talents... I use to love sitting on the back of the car as a child, watching as he and the fellows in the coalshoot played ball in the street; he was an incredible athelete and I was his cheerleader! I love him because he is my brother and because he's made me a stronger woman in so many areas of my life. I face challenges and opposition better because of him. I was in spiritual bootcamp and he was my drill sargeant. I LOVE also that he is the father of his children and my nieces and nephews whom I also LOVE and how he has impacted my daughter's life, who now refers to him as one of her FAVORITE uncles.

YOU are an awesome person Tyrone and your lil sis... LOVES and genuinely LIKES you. May God continue to bless and increase you... in every possible way!

So, my goal in this is to honor one person in my life who has been a
blessing and I'm thinking the duration is one year. 365 days of honoring
others... what an awesome project to undertake. I mentioned one person a day; but, I can't do that today. As I think about certain post they either deserve the same page or at least the same DAY. My parents created (naturally) me together... I would not be here if they hadn't gotten TOGETHER. So, together I will thank and HONOR them and yet separately explain how and why I LOVE and LIKE both my parents.

Joyce F. Jenkins (formerly Poole)... wow, where do I begin? For about both
my parents, I could probably write a book. My mother was and STILL IS a
Fashionista!!! That really had to be the first statement made in her honor. My momma KNOW how to handle clothes, makeup, skin care (still looks like she's my sister), hair style (where do you think I get my knowledge), and can walk the runways of fashion probably better than some of the most high paid models. She participated in several style shows and I remember many times looking in fascination at the pictures of how she transformed in a moment’s time to complete the show. My MOMMA is a Fashion DIVA!

This beautiful woman exudes a confidence that can not be touched; she has a
tenacity to strive for the best in life and is no stranger to success or hard work. She and my dad both hold the title of inspiration for me. Where and how do you begin, when you know the truth and that is they married very young and bore 7 children, raised them by themselves and took in others when it seemed to them the proper thing to do. We never lacked and I remember this particularly about my mom... she never turned anyone away for a plate. Oh yeah, did I not mention that this woman can COOK, yes she can. I love my mother so much.

I still, as a grown woman, run to momma when I need something extra that
this world can never offer me. I lay across her bed and enjoy the thought that my momma is here to hear, hold, and help... she's here to dry my tears and offer advice in every arena. I've faced some horrible challenges that could have or did break my spirit, and it was she who reminded me of who I am. She taught me to pray, enrolled me in the church choir and made sure I was baptized. She invested in me and if I say momma I need your help right now, I know she is either coming over or awaiting my arrival at her address, exactly 8 minutes away from my domain. Now, the fact that I know
exactly how long it takes to get from here to there and there to here ought to be an indication of our bond. A safe haven is a place that you never have to guess about where it is located... I know every possible route to that address!!!

I love her and cherish her support and love so much that I can't possibly
think of her not being that close... it brings tears to my eyes. This is the
woman who birthed me, loved me and taught me my abc's. momma taught me to pray, she sang hymns at the stove as she cooked... we'd pull out the hymnal and I'd just listen to her sing to her heavenly Father... yes, she can BLOW! My mom is a fun loving woman with a good heart, she loves to laugh, as do I, and I smile at the thought that if she gets tickled too hard, she can't stop laughing... gasping to catch her breath, tears falling down her eyes and grabbing her side in a laughing fit so contagious that we too laugh... not at her but with her.

My mom taught me to cook, to fight, to pray and play... we liked and still likes to color and draw so I can say she encouraged my artistic style and I still find myself testing the waters of my true God-given abilities, astonishing myself sometimes... taking the drawing test and making a 95/A (yay me). I remember nights sitting on the floor with momma and my brother and sisters playing jacks, crazy eight and pity pat for candy or pennies. We really knew how to enjoy ourselves back then. We loved and still love music and dancing; oldies but goodies were always playing and momma and daddy would swing out... amazing sight to see; mommy got that salsa flavor happening and daddy is groove man, not moving much but always in tune with her flow... beautiful!!! Ok, so with all that going you'd think there couldn't be much more but there was... we formed a dance group, led by my older sister Theresa and we'd sing and dance(perform) for them, bringing them as much joy as they did to us.

My mother has excelled at all she has put her hands to and gets everything
her heart desires. She believes in herself in a way that makes you take notice and thankfully rubs off on all around her. If she's not pleased with your appearance and KNOWS you can and should do better, she'll tell you to your face and then sweetly makes a date with you to go shopping to update your wardrobe. She is fashion personified; love exemplified, courage focused and goal oriented. She still imparts into my life ways to improve my life's plan and though I feel like I am educated enough to know what and how to attain what I wish to in life, I am seriously amaze at her wisdom and the ideas she possess. I realize that I too have been blessed to experience and been privy to her life and her living. She is my mom and my first mentor ever. I don't know where I would be today without her leadership and guidance. My mom is invaluable to me... indispensable, my
gift from GOD ALMIGHTY in whom I have come to TRUST.

Thank you God for giving me HER!!! I Love and tremendously LIKE you
MOMMY!!!! Forever your baby, Deede.

Okay, so I TRIED... I really did, even fell asleep writing this at 5am Friday morning... bad habit lately. So, I tried to write only about my dad and now I think there was a reason I couldn't finish besides me just being exhausted. My parents created (naturally) me together... I would not be here if they hadn't gotten TOGETHER. So, together I will thank and HONOR them and yet seperately explain how and why I LOVE and LIKE both my parents.

My dad (Clarence Poole, Sr.)... jack of all trades, MASTER MECHANIC! I love my daddy... growing up I'd spend endless hours under the hood of cars with him. He'd work all day and then have side jobs at home where I was his apprentice sometimes. Working closely together, the mastermind and his help... that's RIGHT, his help. I would hold the flashlight in place in the middle of the night as he struggled to see what he needed to or hand wrenches, screwdrivers and other tools to him in the day. Thinking back, perhaps this is where I became this independent woman who feels like she can DO whatever anybody else can... though I still don't like changing flat tires (don't tell daddy) and remain in the place of a little woman who needs a big stong man when it comes to that... LOL. Give me a nail and hammer though and I'm in my element! One of the first tools I bought for myself was an electric drill with all the bits. After helping build porches and redoing floors with daddy, I feel like a carpenter myself sometimes. I have personally put together entertainment centers, bookshelves, armoires, consoles, exercise equipment, etc... even helped to build a Wal-Mart back home. I still feel pride when I walk in that hardware dept (where I worked) and the registers that I secured at the front checkout; Walmart in BV.

Dad and I like the same types of movies and he even gets me out of my comfort zone sometimes by throwing in a moving like 'Twlight' on one of my Sunday visits. My all time favorites still today were introduced by him... Fifth Element and another Sci-fi that I can't quite say the name of right now, though I could tell you the name of the actors and that the title begins with an "E" (hate when I can't think of something), good thing that's not what's important here, my dad is. So, let's get to the good stuff like crawfish boils on those porches I mentioned earlier and many barbecues and cookouts where it seemed the whole street would wind up in our yard eating, music blasting, dancing and having a good time. Now that I think about it, perhaps we invented BLOCKPARTIES or at least 'street'parties. :-). We always played ball in the vacant lot next door, anybody from Eleventh St. remember that??? Kickball, baseball behind the Church of Christ on RR Ave., basketball and football were normal occurences in my childhood and I developed a wicked arm when it comes to football, LOVED IT!!!!

I love and like my DAD because he loves and likes me, because he took time in his life to invest in his children, raised each of us and provided for us always. I love/like him because he still does. He cares and he cheers at every success, He believes in us and when we achieve greatness; because each of us have in our own right, he is PROUD and it shows. Quiet and laid back; yet, a workaholic too... he is just that to me, an inspiration to continuously improve and to rest and enjoy life as well. I wish to make him proud and surpass anything he may have thought possible of me.

I never forget the day he cried while listening to me recite a poem I'd written and his fiance telling me I reminded her of Maya Angelou... WOW!!! Equally memorable is the day he teared up and explained to me that though he can't receive the word of God from everybody, he can sit for hours and HEAR me speak of the Lord... his reason, because I am so passionate about it and he FEELS it in his spirit/heart when I speak of my Heavenly Father and His promises. He gets it, really gets it from me... so much so that he allowed me to lead him to Christ one day. I love my dad and I like his spirit. He is a good man and my memories are mostly good when I think back to my childhood. My parents are incredible individuals who achieved great success despite great sacrifice and trials but they were so loving that they even raised other peoples kids (cousins and grandchildren at different times).

Clarence Poole, Sr., I will forever honor him as: my father, my daddy, the man I affectionately referred to as 'poppi or pops' in our many telephone conversations or one on one counseling sessions and can you guess who was giving the advice... you'd be right if you guessed it was HIM. He always has a different view point and doesn't force his way but lovingly listens, interjecting only when needed, and then gives it to you straight!!! Doesn't really matter if the advice feels good or not, it just matters that it's for your good and that it comes from a place that has LOVE, life experiences and sage advice that will lead you to the truth where decisions are made connected to it.

I LOVE and LIKE YOU Clarence Poole, Sr. ~ Always and Forever!!! YOU are my daddy and counselor, my friend and Father!!!!

As I sit working today, pondering today's post and wondering how I'd get
this blog to my dad... I thought about the Commandments Jesus left to LOVE the Lord, your God, with all your 'being' (paraphrased) and to LOVE your neighbor as yourself; which means, to me, you should not love anybody except God (who created you), Jesus (who saved you) and the Holy Spirit (who lives w/in leading and guiding you) more than you love yourself. Why? Because they are the source from whence LOVE emanate and when your supply is running low, just as with a vehicle, they are where you go FIRST to fill up. They are the never-ending supply... like the power plants from whence energy is exuded. The Godhead is THAT to and for the believer.

Now, why do I love ME... because I AM a creation of the MOST HIGH GOD who took His time fashioning me into a particular mode, perfectly equipping me with everything I'd ever need or the ability to attain whatsoever I shall ever need in life. I also realize that what I do not possess I have a choice of how to attain and still be wowed at that ability... I can use my intellect and find the answer through research (brain is the largest and most powerful computer in the world) or I can use my people skill, intuition, and persuasion to link up with someone who already has it and strike up a mutually beneficial agreement for what I need (network). I love God's idea of mankind in general, a flesh covered image of HIM (spirit). I have GOD ALIVE ON THE INSIDE OF ME... His mind, some gifting and talents that He's given me charge over and He'll require an account of at a certain time when the LORD returns.

I won't go much further because the idea of this is to HONOR OTHERS and by
doing that, you will learn more of me through their stories. I just would like to end with this about myself... what I love most about me is not the pretty little package God designed on the outside; rather, I LOVE the beauty that HE has deposited as seed and as I ask, seek and knock on HIS door for answers, HE allows the inner "me" to grow into a fascinating individual with a passion and desire to do His will... God's HEART is that of a loving Father watching over HIS children (which is another way of looking at Jesus the GOOD SHEPHERD, shepherding or leading the flocks of God or the Holy Spirit leading or watching over us in us daily saying no, don't go that way or yes, this is the way). As I stay connected to my source, HE continues to tell me my purpose and my purpose, will, and desire becomes likened unto HIS... I now possess a heart to lead and shepherd HIS people back to HIM (their power source) teaching along the way, all that He has deposited in my Spirit about me first and because we bear the same branding (Child of God) and the same image and likeness (to be MORE LIKE
HIM) what He gives me for me can be tailored made to fit and work wonders for you as well; hence, Women of Destiny, LLC.

I wished to say that what I love most about me is the tenacity to please the Father by doing all that He has called me to. I have an unyielding
determination to see manifested in this earth EVERYTHING He has shared with me about me whether it is for me or for YOU. I am dedicated to this mission,
yielded in heart, mind, will and emotion to DO the work and work(multiplied)
that I live for. I breathe in daily an essence of a being created by Greatness, in Greatness, for Greatness... and Greatness is my goal. Greatness not yet defined in dictionary form; it's the greatness from another realm but because HE would not leave us ignorant He did leave of the definition of Kingdom Greatness as well... you'll find it in Matthew 5:19, it has been highlighted in my bible for years, since I sought the Lord about the prophecies I've received all my life from prophets around the world... “YOU HAVE BEEN CREATED FOR GREATNESS”, and/or “THERE IS GREATNESS ON THE INSIDE OF YOU”.

After hearing that from 5 different men and women of God at different seasons of life, I stopped ignoring it and sought to find out what exactly they were saying to me. I finally heard it as a voice being used of God instead of a person just saying words. I found the definition that Webster gave but I wasn't satisfied and asked the Lord. Ever Faithful to His Word (ask and you shall receive) HE guided me to it.

Matthew 5:19 ~ Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches men so, shall be called least in the Kingdom of Heaven; but whoever DOES and TEACHES THEM, he shall be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven.(JESUS SPEAKING) NKJV

My destiny, purpose, promise and prophecy are all linked to that scripture
and verse 20 that follows... this is why I love me some ME. The
determination to set the world on fire and turn it right side up as I accomplish all that HE said I would. The awesome thing about setting the world on fire as I run my race is that like those who have run before me... it leaves a trail that others can follow once the fire burns out and turning the world right side up just means giving others the ability to SEE differently what they have seen but maybe not understood all along.

I am a trailblazer and a soul saver... simply put; I AM Debra ~ A VIRTUOUS, VICTORIOUS, WOMAN OF GOD, CHILD OF THE KING... SERVANT TO ALL, GREAT IN THE KINGDOM as I serve the KING, to the GLORY OF GOD.

I KNOW for what purpose I wake to breathe HIS air each day... YOU are that
purpose.

God ~ Jesus ~ Holy Spirit: Where would I be? I would not BE if it weren't
for the Father; Creator of ME, you and the Universe.

Thank YOU, God for your imagery, creativity, PASSION and desire to commune and to fill the earth with yourself so much that you created the human race and breathed yourself into us!!! Wow... and thank you for making me in the image and likeness of you three in one. Thank you for our connection and for still walking with me, as you did with Adam /Eve and Jesus (and I'm sure others) throughout antiquity, today and revealing yourself to me and myself (your creation) to me as well. I LOVE YOU and dedicate this life that you've granted me to showing your image and likeness on earth while unveiling your creativity and imagery alive in me.. simply put, by manifesting your Glory in/through me on this earth!!! Truly may YOUR Kingdom Come on Earth as it is in Heaven through me and all the believers who walk among me. May all come to the saving knowledge of grace of your Son, Jesus, the Christ, that we may ultimately fulfill your will to dominate and authoritatively subdue the earth.

Jesus, my LORD & Savior whom I love and thank for HIS sacrifice in Coming; which means HE left his throne and position in the Godhead to be born and he left the luxury and union with the FATHER to save humanity, bringing us back into right standing with God. Living~ which means you were my example of how the Kingdom looks… for truly wherever you were; sickness, disease, lack, poverty, lameness, blindness, demon possession and even DEATH could not remain, thank you for demonstrating the POWER you gave to us and teaching us through your example to dominate and authoritatively subdue all things. Dying ~ THE WAGES OF SIN IS DEATH... YOU WHO KNEW NO SIN BECAME SIN SO I AND OTHERS LIKE ME (human beings walking in this flesh) can experience LIFE and what it truly means to LIVE IT ABUNDANTLY... your sacrifice put us back in place as “children” of the King... You made me an heiress, thank you. Arising ~ you getting up and taking authority and power over hell and the grave allows us (your brothers and sisters) to walk in Victory daily as well. & giving me LIFE ABUNDANTLY ~ you gave me keys, authority and power to put all things under my feet and the ability to be seated with you in heavenly places... thank you. Finally, for sending the Holy Spirit~ you left; but, true to your word... you did not leave me comfortless... you sent me another like unto yourself. Thank you ETERNALLY forthe Holy Spirit.

Holy Spirit ~ THANK YOU for living in me, leading and guiding me daily into all truth and helping me to learn and walk successfully in a kingdom mentality and philosophy that I may KNOW and understand the things that Jesus knew, taught and walked in. You effectively bring to my remembrance those things which I have studied and read about Jesus and still you reveal unto me mysteries in the Word daily... as I apply myself to the study and understanding of that which is not visibly seen on those black and white pages; rather, those revelations thatspeak clearly to me on the whiteness between each line. I have decided that I want to honor those people in my life who have walked with me, encouraged me, prayed for me, stayed with me through thick and thin and who have been a tremendous help and blessing in my life. Those people range from family members who I will honor 1st to Pastors and leaders worldwide, friends near and far, co-workers, associates and future collaborators.

Tonight I would like to begin with the Trinity and the next name on this list will be that of my dad, which means this list will continually grow until I have no one else to thank and that should NEVER happen. I believe in blessings and being blessed to be a blessing; this is my way of thanking those who are/were blessed enough to pour into me in some manner... YOUR seeds have been sown into fertile ground, HERE are just some of the "fruit of your lasting labor" and the awesome thing about fruit is it began as seed and inside of the very fruit I share are more seeds. I pray that this blog encourages others to do the same for the Bible states that we should give HONOR to those whom HONOR is due!!!

Some of the people revealed on this list will never read this because they don't FB or because they have passed on to Glory; but, that doesn't mean I can't share it here and for those select few who do not FB; yet, still walk among us, I may just be inspired to drop something in the mail for you, pick up a phone to share with you or simply drop by and share what you first shared with me and that is LOVE, ENCOURAGEMENT, PRAYER, FRIENDSHIP and/or HUGS.

So, If you find yourself at some point on my page, just KNOW that it is because YOU are so special to me and have been or are still an important part of my life and development process. I love all... we are commanded to; I like many... they have a good heart, make me laugh, are intelligent enough to glean from or successful enough to learn from; but, there are a select few people we have the honor of spending quality time with; they KNOW the real you and have imparted something into your being that has attached itself to you and have become a part of your makeup: characteristics, wisdom or grace. These are those I wish to honor here and I invite you all along for the journey.

Getting Started... Embrace the Glory!!!

Ok, so I’m thinking… why is it so difficult for some to see to fruition the promises of God?

One of the biggest issues is that some don’t KNOW HIM well enough to KNOW HIS VOICE. Issue Two is we hear clearly what God has said; but, either we think it’s too big (God’s vision for us is always BIGGER than our own) so we don’t agree with HIM… or, and this is a major issue; we become so worried about men (mankind ~ friends, acquaintances, family members, church members, etc.) that we don’t say it out loud, write it down or pursue it for fear of criticism, judgment or condemnation. But guess what, I’d rather spend my life wondering what God would think or say if I DON’T fulfill his will than what others will say when I DO. Three… we are too lazy, content/complacent and/or fearful to move into the new territories, take the new courses, meet new people, and BECOME THE NEW PERSON… that’s right, we have to literally lay down who we are (the life we created on our own) for the LIFE of Abundance that HE has for us.

Imagine what would happen if we all EMBRACED THE GLORY of God within us. Yep, that’s right; HIS KINGDOM would come here on earth even as it is in Heaven! They’d be no more crying, sickness, or disease; because we’d leave the old man (with his issues) behind and take on Christ and all that HE IS and offers; because get this, HE HAS ALREADY PAID FOR IT, so it’s HIS to give. Hallelujah!!!

Life's Journey

Life is a journey and along its roads; we are bound to find travelers with differing views and opinions. It is much easier to make this trek when we realize that it is our differences that make us GREAT and that other people's opinions, though theirs ~ is still only an opinion. What someone else thinks, says or believes about you should not be your total focus; rather, what God thinks, says and KNOWS to be true about you and what you have learned, lived and recognized as your truth... these are most important. Sometimes those very opinions can spur us on to GREATNESS. If we will allow them to challenge us, they may even change us into something or someone greater than we could have ever been had we not been privy to the information at all.

Today, I am not too big on other's opinions of me... I am most focused on whom and what God has shared with me about me; however, I have grown enough to know that not every harsh word I receive is meant to be harsh. It is all a matter of perception. Every person I deemed my enemy may not be; however, even if they see themselves that way, the Word of God says they will become my footstool and what the enemy meant for harm (and that can very well extend to the enemy's use of another to harm me) God will turn for my good.

I am learning more of my Father's ways and His thoughts in this season and as I still myself in Him and wait patiently (silently), I am amazed as HE fights my battles... granting sweatless victories and teaching me biblical principles through life experiences. I am enthralled in these lessons of life. Captivated by the wisdom of my teacher, (my Heavenly Father) and His choice of earthly instructors, those He uses to challenge, grow and mature me further in Him.

Life is beautiful. It is simply a wonderful gift given and I am learning to enjoy it with all its lessons and blessings; friends, families and would be foes who have a unique way of becoming blessings by teaching me and helping me to become a better person. Now if I can just learn the lessons without reacting to them first... I'll be on top of the world... oops, I forgot, I already am.

“I Am”… blessed and highly favored… a woman of regal standing in the Kingdom of God.

I gave up my seat in Glory
To enable you to rewrite your story

I stepped down from Heaven’s Throne.

Born thru a virgin maiden

At twelve I astounded physicians
With wisdom that was purely divine
Turning water into wine was quite easy
Though in truth, it was not yet my time.
I notably healed the sick, raised the dead,and made blinded eyes to see.
I cast out demons, made deaf ears hear and I even made mute mouths speak.
Proving disease can’t exist around me

These truths have all been duly noted;
Rearranged, placed in sermons and quoted
I’ve heard the stories of my entrance, my exit and the journey in between
But, today I’ve come to shed a light on truth that is rarely seen.
There was a purpose for my coming,
And yes, in part, it was to redeemed;
But there was so much more originally in store for all who would willingly believe.
Now this truth I pray you can receive.

There is a purpose for everything that God does.
And redemption was necessary it’s true.
But there was much more than that left for you.
Abundant life was the promise that I gave you;
Authority through keys given too.
Power over darkness through the use of my name
Victory over all things through this Words you proclaim.

You are royalty and I’ve come to remind you
Of your position as joint-heirs to the throne.
For when you opened your mouth to receive Me as Lord
Heaven became your new home.
Yes, my journey upon the earth was to restore you back to God
To have you seated with Me in Glory at His right side.
So I’ve stopped in today to remind you why you should sing.
It’s because of the salvation, liberation and the victory I bring.
‘Cause I lived and still do live
Though I chose to die for sin;
I covered you forever even before your life was to begin.
You’ve been redeemed, you’ve been washed and you are now covered in my blood.
So your mentality can not remain worldly;
You’ve been positioned in Heaven above.
You are heirs to MY promise and that promise is an Abundant Life.
So sing out loudly and rejoice proudly as you walk BOLDLY in this new light.
For the TRUTH of why I came was to bring order and set all things right!

Now remember that you are royalty; joint-heirs with Me to the throne.
I came to live life before you victoriously; an example of our life at home.
Walk out your paths on earth in victory; for truly, Victory is yours to obtain.
To give you back the power, authority and abundance in life, is truly the answer to why I came.
It is time to experience HEAVEN’S REIGN!

Face YOUR "Self".

This is the year to receive the promises of God! I know it, I post it, I quote it and I believe it! How do we see the promises of God manifested in our lives? Will it be easy to walk in and possess the land? What happens when it seems like the opposite is what you see instead?

I began this writing with questions because it IS the year for manifestation; however, your enemy (and mine) will not just sit idly by and watch as we receive what God has for us. He will fight with all he has and then will try to entice us to forfeit our promises with ideas and false images or false realities that are designed to make us lose focus. Today's encouragement comes to enlightened you and makes you aware of some of the ploys of the enemy and how he operates.

I've always heard that the enemy's tricks are the same and they are; however, the way he presents them will be different and you must be aware of that to overcome them. Last week I was so excited... I'd made up my mind that I was about to begin a new exercise regimen. I'm moving towards something new and for that to be, I must be at my best. Not only will I feel better and look better; but, for the place I'm going, I have to BE BETTER. I'm excited, psyched and ready to move. I sat in on a meeting where I heard the instructor say something about choice and laying down his choice for a better choice (God's choice) even if it didn't feel good to his flesh.

I listened intently, I heard what was said and as awesome and as innocent as it was, the enemy began to throw up some things from my past that would have had me forfeiting my new found desire. In my past experience, men would always put demands on what I looked like physically, so much so, that I began to rebel. Purposely, I'd do the opposite of what they desired because I wanted to know that I was loved for me and not for my appearance. I needed to know that the love was sincere and how best to test it than to have them select me despite the fact that they didn’t get their desire. I realize that this thinking, though justifiable, was foolish. Foolish because in all actuality, I desired what they wanted as well; but, because it was stated in a manner that was offensive to me, I rebelled. Looking back... I admit, I didn't hurt them, I hurt myself. I was sabotaging my self and didn't realize it.

Well, as I walked last week, a part of my new routine, these thoughts came back into my head. Why make yourself this way for them? You'll never know if they love you if... and I finally saw past that to the truth. It matters most what our motives for doing a thing is. I am preparing for something wonderful, something valuable in the sight of God and man. The enemy would try to use this old, negative way of thinking to trap me and keep me bound. He doesn't want me to fulfill my purpose so he tries to pervert the thinking, pervert the process. “Do not become your best” is what he’d say to me, though it is a necessary requirement for the next stage of life, because of what someone else said that had absolutely nothing to do with me. WOW!!!

What kind of tricks is he trying to use on you? What old mindsets did you have that the enemy would try to use to keep you defeated? Think on that for a moment and then decide as I, to face your "self", deal with that issue and then walk over the defeated enemy in your life. Replace old mindsets with new ones. Check your motives in all things and KNOW why you are doing what you do. When you KNOW who you are... you also KNOW who you are not. Continue to live a valuable life that is in total agreement with what God has declared for your future.

Do not allow the enemy to defeat you this year. As you guard your heart (and mind) this season, KNOW that in doing so, you are protecting your investment; you are protecting your harvest! You are preparing and moving toward the manifestation of God's promise. Keep your eyes on the prize and you (we) shall definitely attain. Remember the PROMISE... Do the work... and WALK IN your DESTINY, one step at a time.

First step is simply: face yourself... for only when you do, can you... Renew YOUR MIND.

Much Change Going On!

I sit pensively today; thoughtful about life and where I'm headed. Much thought about my future has me silently listening for instructions from my creator. Questions posed in my spirit has me wondering what's next and thinking about how easily we can become off track if we don't know His plan.

I've made plans that make sense in my own thinking; however, the word of God states in Isaiah 55:8 "For My thoughts are not your thoughts. Nor are your ways My ways, says the Lord. Verse 9 further states, "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts". I see that I'm changing. I sense the change within, I see people being removed and though I'd like to complain, I can't. I know it's God. He's stretching me; I'm growing and learning to depend most on Him and less on man.

God is doing a new thing and He's declared that before it springs forth, He'll tell us of it. I've been shown my future; however, the steps to get there remains in His hands. As the time nears for the manifestation, I notice, I need to be in closest fellowship with God Almighty. His thoughts toward me are only good and never evil; to bring me to an expected end. He's declared my END from the beginning and I’m now walking into my future. A future planned before my existence, a future that is destined to glorify God.

Yielding myself to Him, releasing my hold (vice grip) on my own plans and embracing His bring me to a place of solidarity. A place where I see that which He desires I see. This is a place of certainty in Him and a place of fulfillment within. Wholeness comes when one observes and comprehends their purpose for living. I now know that all my plans, though big in my own mind, are truly less than His for me. I look forward to this year and all it promises.

Manifestation of HIS absolute best is what I expect to receive from the one who loves me unconditionally and has predestined a life that is beyond anything I could orchestrate. I love Him and I honor Him, as I take this new season of one on one with my creator, I smile with recognition. This is the position that qualifies me to step over into the Greatest LIFE ever. The year of MANIFESTED PROMISE.

I wish you a most prosperous New Year. Today is the day that I am ready to release the vision that I have for Sister Circle (FB). This group was designed for women worldwide to come together and support and assist one another in our developmental processes. We have women of every walk of life... here on Sister Circle. We have Ministers, Pastors, Doctors, Lawyers, Philanthropists, Entrepreneurs, Writers, CEO's and Presidents of companies; we have mothers, and daughters, friends and sisters, family. We have WOMEN on every level ~ young and old; naturally, mentally and spiritually.

It has been my experience personally and I've found through Women of Destiny that women who sit behind desks are no different than women who stand behind counters. Women who are rich are no different from women who are poor when it comes to pain. We all hurt and have to cry sometimes. We've all experienced tremendous blows to our ego and self-image and hearts and we all need support and love. Let me expound a little more; when I say we're no different... I mean simply that we are all human. What we choose to do in our lives is totally up to us; therefore, I judge no one by status. Yes, I can respect a woman who has her stuff together and applaud/commend her for the diligence and determination it takes to accomplish outstanding goals; however, I will still honor and respect the woman standing behind a department store counter or taking my order at a fast food restaurant for her dedication and commitment to live. When I look at women as a whole, I honor and respect all. I will never think any woman to be better than me OR less than me because of status... for that is subject to change and is temporal. When it comes to the Body of Christ, I see all the same. You are connected to me spiritually and I respect my connections.

Now that I've made that clear, let’s move on to the more important point; that of healing, wholeness, unity and love (God's way). It is my desire to see every woman WHOLE and walking in her predestined place in the Kingdom of God. It is my assignment to aide in that process. I been given a unique gift to be able to see in a person their God-given talents, gifts and purpose and call it forth. Speak to me about your passion, the driving force behind what you do and together we'll find a way to make it be.

Decree a thing and it shall be established, according to the word of God. This is where we're going THIS YEAR!!! If you are in agreement with me, I need you to show your faith by posting your prophecy, share what you believe in faith... speak it out and we shall all stand together in unity to agree with the vision and plan of God for your lives to be made manifest.

I've shared with you my prophecy in the writing "Embracing the NEW"... I am Debra Poole or "Virtuous" (God calls me that), a Woman of God, called and chosen by God to share Him (in every capacity) with the world! Worldwide ministry, poetry, books, companies, etc. Focus is on Kingdom Building (soul winning), Fulfilling Destiny (purpose), Wholeness (all that God says) and UNITY (oneness of heart)!!! Praise to Ms. Kimberley Brooks for "He's SAVED... But Is He FOR REAL?". The book is so good; it was almost difficult to believe it to be a fiction work as its characters and the story line pull you in from the very beginning!

"He's SAVED... But Is He FOR REAL?", tells the story of three successful Christian women who are striving to live their lives in a manner pleasing to God and yet challenged in the relational area. Sounds like many I know today. It's an awesome work with many life lessons spread throughout, interesting plots and characters; Michelle, Liz and Sandy could easily have been my family or friends and the men, the guys we all associate with daily, in and out of our churches.

Relationships are challenging enough in themselves, no two will ever be the same and love is something we all long for. Kim has written a novel that expresses three diverse situations that are reality in some lives. You've heard it said and may have said it yourself, "Thank God it's FRIDAY"!!! Well for those who have worked vigorously all week and look forward to the weekend, I guess I can understand. However, as a born again believer in the body of Christ, I thank God for Every DAY.

Mon...day and Tues...day, Wednes...day and Thurs...day, Fri...day, Satur...day and Sun...day; for everyday that I live, move and breathe is a day to thank the LORD!!! I pray that your day is tremendously blessed and I pray that those blessings that you possess be extended to others.

Bless someone with your smile, bless that organization or company with your intellect and skill, bless your family and friends with your love and just for kicks, throw in a hug.

This scripture jumps out at me in reference to author Shelley L. Rainey's book, entitled 'The Fragile Heart'. It is filled with truth which is so liberating that it is bound to help set us free. Mrs. Rainey has reached deep within and extended to us one of the rarest gifts one can give another and that is the gift of "hope". Hope maintained during trying times is an asset as well as a key component to coming out successfully and victoriously.

What's YOUR Poison?

“What’s Your Poison”? A television phrase used in the world to ask what drink you will partake of to numb the effects of life. As Christians, many of us will not partake of alcoholic beverages, easily equating that with sin; but, we all have something that we struggle with. So, what is your poison? What is that thing the enemy dangles before you as bait to keep you from becoming the person you were destined to be?

Your poison can be anything, let’s see... a man can be your poison, as well as a woman. Sex can be your poison, drugs or alcohol, a job, a car, house, your career or lack there of. What does the enemy have you chasing like an addiction that keeps you from hearing the voice of God and doing the thing(s) you were purposed for? What is keeping you from fulfilling your destiny? Did you know that there are invisible poisons as well? Yes, it’s true! Your poison may be fear (of poverty, failure or even success), love, insecurity, un-forgiveness, etc.

It is time to expose the enemy of our soul and walk in the place of wholeness and abundance. I pose this question today to allow you to see that addictions come in many forms but also to let you know that there is a solution available. It comes in one name, it is realized by doing one thing and you can have it and experience the joy of living life victoriously by taking one step at a time.

The solution to every problem is found in the word of God; namely Jesus (the Christ), accepting Him as Lord and Savior allows you to receive salvation which allows you access to a better life. Commitment to growth/transformation by denying your old way of thinking and taking on a new way (a better way) is how we experience a life of fulfillment. As we grow in the things of God, delighting ourselves in Him, he reveals Himself to us and then us to ourselves. We learn who we were created to be while alone in His presence.

Reclaim your life by standing in the authority given you in Christ Jesus and slay the enemy of your future! Poison, I can honestly say that we all have something; but, we also have the ability to look that thing in the eye and declare “NO MORE”! No more am I going to be a slave to that! No longer shall I allow that to control me! I am taking my rightful place and I’m walking in dominion, power, love and peace for they’ve all been given me! Today can be your day of breakthrough!!!

THEY ARE HURTING, CRYING AND LIVING DEFEATED LIVES BECAUSE THEY DON’T UNDERSTAND THE VICTORY THAT IS ALREADY THEIRS IN CHRIST JESUS; HE HANDED IT TO US WHEN HE GAVE US KEYS, AND GIFTS. OUR PART IN THE PROCESS IS SIMPLY TO USE WHAT HE’S GIVEN US AND THAT WILL BRING US TO PROSPEROUS PLACES IN HIM.

WHAT DOES PROSPERITY TRULY MEAN? PROSPERITY DOES NOT ONLY MEAN MONEY, IT INCLUDES IT; HOWEVER, TRUE PROSPERITY GOES MUCH DEEPER THAN THAT. PROSPERITY FOR THE BELIEVER MEANS WHOLENESS; IT MEANS NOTHING MISSING, LACKING OR BROKEN. IT MEANS PEACE, LOVE, JOY AND LAUGHTER; HEALTH, PATIENCE, WEALTH. IT MEANS HAVING EVERYTHING YOU NEED IN EVERY SITUATION, ALL SUFFICIENCY IN ALL THINGS. IT MEANS A HEALTHY BODY, HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS, HEALTHY MENTALITY, AND LOVE OF SELF SO YOU CAN LOVE OTHERS. IT MEANS FELLOWSHIP AND FOLLOWSHIP WITH AND OF THE FATHER. IT MEANS RESPECT FOR SELF, AND OTHERS. RESPECT FOR THOSE POSITIONED BOTH ABOVE AND BENEATH YOU.

WHOLENESS ENCOMPASSES EVERY ASPECT OF LIFE AND IT INCLUDES BALANCE IN ALL THINGS AS WELL. NO OVERINDULGENCE IN ANY AREA OF LIFE. EVEN IN THE ACCUMULATION OF WEALTH AND RICHES THE BALANCE IS IN HELPING THOSE LESS FORTUNATE, GIVING THAT YOU MAY RECEIVE; YET, WITHOUT IT BEING THE FOCAL POINT. GIVING, RATHER, BECAUSE YOU WERE COMMANDED (INSTRUCTED/CREATED) TO DO SO. HAVING BEEN CREATED IN THE IMAGE AND LIKENESS OF A FATHER WHO LOVED US ENOUGH TO GIVE HIS ONLY SON THAT WE MAY LIVE AND HE NOW REQUIRES THAT WE LIVE THE SAME WAY.

I HAVE WITNESSED THE OPPOSITE FOR SO LONG AND IT’S TIME TO STOP THIS EPIDIMIC. TO SEE FREE MEN BOUND IN INVISIBLE CHAINS IS A HORRIBLE SIGHT. TO KNOW THAT THE BONDAGE IS SELF-INFLICTED IS EVEN WORSE AND I’VE HAD ENOUGH! HOW CAN WE KNOW THE SCRIPTURE, QUOTE THE SCRIPTURE BUT HAVE SO LITTLE FAITH AS TO NOT BELIEVE WHAT IT SAYS TO BE TRUTH. WHY DO WE BOTHER TO HEAR THE WORD EVERY WEEK, AND FOR SOME, TWICE A WEEK AND DO NOT APPLY IT? IT’S THE APPLICATION OF WHAT YOU’VE LEARNED THAT BRINGS THE VICTORY. IT IS IN THE USE OF THE KEYS AND THE GIFTS THAT WE FIND OURSELVES TO BE OVERCOMERS IN THIS LIFE.

WE CAN HAVE EVERY PROMISE OF GOD; HE’S ALREADY GIVEN THEM TO US. ALL WE’VE TO DO IS ACCESS THEM, ENGAGING IN THE ABUNDANT LIFE THAT JESUS CAME TO GIVE US. HE DIED THAT WE MAY LIVE AND BE RECONNECTED IN FELLOWSHIP WITH OUR HEAVENLY FATHER WHO IS RICH IN HOUSES AND LAND; BUT, IT DOESN’T STOP THERE. GOD IS RICH IN IDEAS AND PLANS FOR A BEAUTIFUL, SUCCESSFUL LIFE AND IT IS OURS FOR THE ASKING. THE BIBLE SAYS TO ASK, SEEK AND KNOCK… AND PROMISE IS THAT THOSE WHO ASK, RECEIVE; THEY WHO SEEK, FIND; AND TO THEM WHO KNOCK, THE DOOR IS OPENED UNTO THEM. I LIKE TO LOOK AT IT THIS WAY… JESUS SAID IN JOHN 10:9, I AM THE DOOR, IF ANY MAN ENTERS BY ME HE SHALL BE SAVED AND GO IN AND OUT AND FIND PASTURE. THIS MEANS THAT EVERYTHING YOU HAVE NEED OF IS IN HIM AND HE’S GIVEN YOU KEYS TO THE KINGDOM. HE IS THE ENTRANCE TO THE KINGDOM, THE WISDOM OF THE KINGDOM, THE POWER IS IN HIM AND HE’S GIVEN US THE KEY TO HIMSELF...THE KEY TO THE DOOR, THE KEY TO OPEN, RELEASE, LOCK AND BIND. HE HAS GIVEN US THE WORD TO INSTRUCT US AS TO HOW TO OPERATE IN IT WHOLLY; BUT, WE WILL NEVER DO THIS UNTIL WE EXERCISE OUR AUTHORITY WITH FULL KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING THAT COMES IN THE RENEWING OF OUR MINDS DAILY THROUGH THE WORD OF GOD.

IT’S TIME WE RECLAIM OUR LIVES AND STOP ALLOWING THE ENEMY TO CONTROL US. WE MUST LIVE OUR DESTINY; FULFILL OUR PURPOSE AND ULTIMATELY GLORIFYGOD. LET’S NOT ALLOW CALVARY TO HAVE BEEN IN VAIN. OPERATE IN KINGDOM AUTHORITY, KINGDOM RULE AND LET US REIGN WITH HIM.

SEED TIME AND HARVEST.

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. Isaiah 55:11

We are coming off of the heels of a very powerful season for the believer. We celebrated the Resurrection of the Christ on yesterday and though in our natural thinking it was only a memorial of what happened over 2,000 years ago, we must not allow the power and the significance of what He did with that power go. Jesus gave the power and authority to His disciples and commissioned them, sent them out to get to work. He said go ye into the nations and preach and make disciples, you shall cast out demons, lay hands on the sick and they shall recover, baptize in my name, etc.

That Great Commission is still ours over 2,000 years later. We have that same power that raised Jesus available to us today. Now, having said that, it’s time we “walk in it”. Walk in the authority given you in Christ Jesus. Walk in the knowledge that you are an heir of God and a joint-heir with Christ Jesus. Walk in the fact that you were grafted in; which means you now belong to the most POWER- FULL family that ever existed. As such, stop acting like a pauper and begin your trek as a son/daughter.

I pray for the anointing to be released now in the name of Jesus to write this the way I feel it.

I know that this past week /end I have been changed. I have been GIVEN something of great value, tremendous worth. The gift I’ve been endowed with is UNDERSTANDING; see, wisdom is the principle thing but in all your getting you MUST get understanding. We can hold on to or possess something forever but if we’ve not the knowledge of what we possess or the understanding of what it DOES, then we will never operate in it fully.

I have been given insight as to the Power available to we Christians. This power is at our disposal…yet, too many of us throw it in the disposal instead of operating in it. I wrote last week about truth and it’s so easy for me to state that “truth” is my favorite word but this morning as I rose to honor my Father, He dropped the word trust in my spirit. The words “in God we trust” are imprinted on the money we spend daily and it should be imprinted on every believer’s heart. We must trust what He tells us, trust where He’s taking us, TRUST that His plans will be established as the scripture above relays. God’s word NEVER returns to Him void. Whatever He spoke to you, over you, about you, concerning you, among you… receive it; believe HIM because it shall come forth. It will accomplish that which pleases God and it will prosper in the thing to which He sent it. Where did He send His word? Was it in your home, your church, your finances or your love life? Was it sent to your family (near and far)? What did He speak over or speak to, in your life that is about to be transformed as you TRUST in Him to BE God? Was it your mission, your LIFE, your situations? Perhaps, the word that went forth out of His mouth was dropped like a seed in the womb of your Spirit (like mine); seeds of victory and success over the plans of the enemy?

Did he give you an assignment that you knew was too large for you; but, NEVER too large for Him? Did He tell you to lead His nations, His women and His people? Allowing you to know that you would plant seeds of increase, victory and greatness in them just as He did in you; for… “Now it shall spring forth, shall you not know it?” That seed planted years ago has since developed a root system, it’s budded and grown into a powerful tree that is planted by the rivers of water in your belly and now its fruit has grown; ripe, plump and ready to feed and nourish others. It’s time to sow into the land and reap a harvest of souls. It’s time to affect change in your environment, in your nation, in your land. Look up Abraham and tell/count the stars. There is no limit to the anointing and the abilities given us in Christ Jesus.

We’ve the ability to affect change in our communities, in our homes, in our churches, on our jobs… in this world; but, we must get attached to our Power Source!!! Remember who you are and who HE is! Remember all that He’s prophesied in your heart and confirmed in your hearing. He is the Lord and HE changeth not… from everlasting to everlasting, I AM HE, says the Lord. He does not change His mind, when He spoke it, He sealed it.

God has given us power, authority, keys, wisdom, understanding and it’s all found in Jesus the Christ (the anointed one). Calvary ended His earthly ministry in one form; but, it also began the “greater works” ministry that He spoke of. Greater works shall they that follow me do… a collective, connected, collaborative effort to affect change when the power of God is first revealed and then released in our lives. It is then that we stand united and change the face of this earth. “If my people who are called by my name shall humble themselves and pray, seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, THEN, I will hear from heaven, forgive their sins and heal the land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14

We must be adamant in our pursuit of change, renewing our minds so we may accept the truth of what He did for us and gave to us. He’s given us the ability to change the world, just as He did. We can do this by sharing, caring, loving, giving, praying, teaching and leading others to HIM. You have He quickened, that was dead. Colossians 2:13… quickened: to make alive. He’s quickened me; I was dead, now I’m alive. I live and am made whole in Him. I have dedicated my life to helping bring LIFE to others. Women of Destiny, LLC "Purpose-Minded to Promise". TM

He IS Risen...but, do you BELIEVE?

It's Resurrection Sunday (Easter Day) and I come to pose a question to you (us). Do you (we) believe? This week has been an eye opener for me as far as the Resurrection is concerned as I've felt everyday (almost) as if I were there. I can't honestly say I feel as if I were there because my heart won't allow me to imagine seeing my Savior go through the horrendous trial of Calvary and endure the pain and abuse that He did on my (our) behalf. I have; however, experienced this season in a different manner than ever before. Never have I evaluated the significance of each day and done so without being cognizant of what I was doing, it was done with sincerity of heart, not logic or motive.

Today, I awakened around 3am and as I go about my way though preparing to return and rest; my mind/heart falls again on the day's significance. Today is the day 2,000 years ago, that the women of Jesus' disciples go to the tomb with spices to anoint and prepare His body and find that He's NOT there! The reality of what I've just written is this; they didn't BELIEVE that He actually would RISE on the third day as He had prophesied. One account tells of how Mary Magdalene saw the empty tomb, cried and asked where they'd taken Him so that she could take His body away. That gives us reason to pause. (Selah)

How many times has God spoken something to us and we've heard Him because we "walk with" Him; but, the power of the authoritative ONE WHO is speaking does not register, so we do not walk in it. How many times has a man/woman of God spoken a word of healing, deliverance and/or wholeness to broken situations; LIFE in the place of Death; etc. and it's gone in one ear and out of the other? How many times has God given us visions and ideas that we know to be divine and we've not moved in that direction because we do not believe we're capable of doing something so grand?

Today's RESURRECTION hits me on this personal level and it makes me rethink some of the things that He's proposed to me. It reminds me of the power available to me to get ALL that He's promised. Dead situations can be resurrected, power to "do" the impossible is now acknowledged and TRUTH of who He is and what HE is capable of in my life is recognized.

Where do you find yourself on this day? This day when Jesus conquered hell and the grave, OVERCAME the world and all that’s in it? The wisdom of this day and its insight is that this is the day that Jesus “took back” His life and so can we. On Friday, He laid it down for us; He saved and redeemed us; but, TODAY it's as if HE says...Now, let me show you what I've told you! Let me reveal myself to you as the CHRIST, the Son of God. Today He’s saying, “I AM… THAT I AM”!!! Now the question is, CAN we NOW believe??? Can we believe every TRUTH that He’s ever told, not only the Truths of who He is but the Truth of who we are in connection to HIM?

If we’d analyze the significance of this day and apply the resurrection power that we celebrate to our situations, they too will have to be restored to there rightful places. Bondages will have to be released, debts supernaturally cancel and old mindsets destroyed as we take our rightful place in the Kingdom of God - "in Him", "in His authority and power"!!! Jesus has given us everything we need to conquer in this Life. We are to emulate HIM for He’s BEEN raised; now it’s time we RISE.

Saturday... Resurrection Eve!

Good Morning Everyone,

I just wanted to drop in and share my heart. I know it's been a while since I've done this and for that I apologize. Sometimes we must go into our own sacred place with God and I've found myself drawn there lately. He's reminding me of my first love and leading me to places only He can take me. This week has been full of a loving journey with my Father. Everyday this week something miraculous has happened or some insight has been given.

This morning as I awake early, my heart fell on this day's significance in Scriptural History and at 5am I found myself looking for insight as to what that was. I find in scripture that on this day, those who crucified Him on yesterday were trying to ensure that He would not rise on tomorrow. Killing Him was not enough, they were set on making sure the Savior of the world would remain DEAD and NOT rise as He'd prophesied. They enlisted the help of Pilate to seal and secure the tomb. It reminds me of how the enemy, when he knocks us down, deals us stunning blows and/or tries to kill us; is relentless in his pursuit of death. We too, must be equally if not more relentless in our pursuit of LIFE.

I love you all and pray that you experience the power of the Lord mightily this week and weekend... THE RESURRECTION POWER THAT RAISED JESUS FROM THAT SAME TOMB IS AVAILABLE TO EACH OF US TODAY!!!!

It's Good Friday!!!

Jesus DIED for ME today. I sit here at work and though I'm physically here and doing everything I'm supposed to be doing; my heart, mind and soul are in sync with the Spiritual meaning of this day. Jesus sacrificed for me; He gave His life which is the greatest thing anyone could give.

He loved me and still does love me enough to deem me worthy of HIS dying, so that I might LIVE. I never want to walk around on this day without reverencing the significance in it. For on this day 2,000 years ago, He was whipped, beaten, carried a cross that He chose to die upon and He became a curse (for cursed is anyone who die upon a tree) so that I can be blessed.

No Greater Love has ever been nor will ever be shown for mankind. For GOD so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son... His Son so loved the Father and the world that He gave His life! Now the question rises, what are you willing to give? We can all began with REVERENCE, let us all reverence THEM!!!

The Bible says to LOVE and the awesome thing about Our God is that because HE is the source of LOVE we have a never-ending supply. For in Him all things consists. We were purposed to and for Love. Jesus became our example of Love in Action and the Holy Spirit dwells within us as our Teacher, leading us in all truth. Let's allow Him to teach us to walk in Truth, in LOVE.

When I think of you I smile, just want your attention for a while
As I share with you my heart, so that you may do your part

And to love everyone is what I'm calling you to.
As you imitate me, this world is able to see
That Love is my most powerful gift,
For truly to love is DIVINE
And when given in Truth, it'll last a lifetime.

So, in closing I'll just say,
Stay in the WORD and always pray
For love is closer to you than it may seem;
It's in your hearts and in your minds; it's in your dreams.
And in case you haven't known,
I hope this time with me has shown
That the heritage of Christ still lives on
For Calvary is not where it ends;
Quite the contrary, it's where it begins.
You've a direct command from HIM
To love one another until the end.
When HE comes back in all of HIS glory,
That event shall mark the end of this story,
For eternally with Him, You shall be,
For indeed it is YOU who complete our family tree.

Oh, how wondrous is our Family Above
And it all began with GOD and HIS infinite LOVE.

When do we walk in destiny completely?
Answer: When we BELIEVE God TOTALLY!

I have pondered this question before and I believe we all come to this point at some time in our lives. Perhaps, we see a glimpse of what and how our future should be, experience a tugging inside that drives us forward or have wonderful ideas that can only be called Divine. Yet the question remains, how do we walk in our destinies successfully? Events take place daily and at any time, our lives can change. One meeting, moment, or conversation in a day can catapult us from where we are to the place we were destined to be. So, what do we do to prepare? How do we become the person, doing the thing we were destined to do; that thing that will forever change our lives? At what point do we recognize the “greatness” within us is actually a gift that is to be shared and the very thing that will make a place for us in this vast world that we live in?

Discovering our gifts and/or talents and using them to be a blessing in the lives of others is living in a divine state of destiny. If we ever took the time to examine self and find out our truth we wouldn’t continually miss divine appointments and opportunities that could otherwise change our lives. Fear shows up and keeps many of us paralyzed and living in a state of confusion. We desire more, pray for more, hope and wish for more but will never experience “MORE” because we won’t move forward. It takes faith and patience, courage and belief in something greater than we’ve ever known to move out of our comfort zone and allow ourselves to be stretched to fit into our places of destiny.

I recall such a time in my life when all I wanted was to help others. I desired to speak into their lives and help them see for themselves a better place. I longed to open blinded eyes that they might see miracles unfold daily. I hoped to help lame legs find their strength and deaf ears to hear the truth. I wished to help people come out of the broken and dead situations in their lives and walk whole and alive. I wanted to hear mute mouths speak because I’d brought hope to individuals who had endured so much grief that it took all their strength just to whisper a word. I prayed to bring joy into the lives of those around me; but, I had to find it for myself first. I had to become the image of what I professed and believe wholeheartedly this philosophy I’d been given to teach. I have and now I can honestly attest to living a grand life, a life better than I’d ever thought possible.

Everyday I am in awe of the miracles I see and the opportunities afforded me because I’ve discovered my destiny, my place of contribution in this world. Life is what you make it, and I’ve chosen to make mine, glorious. Discover your destiny by coming to know the truth of who you are. Recognize your gifts; acknowledge with boldness your God-given talents. Find out what calls to you from the deepest recesses of your soul. Discover your TRUTH, embrace it and it will set you free.

Recently, I've revisited a dream that was deferred.

Love has long eluded me and I'd given up hope of such an "idea". No man in my visible realm had the qualifications to fill the prayers I'd prayed and so; I became a little uncertain that such a man existed. Thank God for His ways and His timing... I have recently been reintroduced to the idea of love;but, not just any kind of love. I am speaking specifically of "the God-kind of love". A love where lust is not involved; rather, genuine appreciation and respect for the character, commitment and beauty of Spirit (okay, and natural) of another. This is the kind of foundation that can bring forth a lasting relationship. Dare I say more... NAH, at least not on that topic. What I'd like to share tonight is something written when I first began to dream the dream...

(Proverbs 31: 10-31 is one of my favorites, I've studied it so long that one night many years ago the enemy challenged me about who I was and this is what emerged out of my Spirit.)

I am a woman of virtue, integrity, success and high moral standards. A woman of intelligence and power. I am dependable and strong; a woman of influence and affluence. I am a woman who knows her value and worth. A woman of substance, kindness and wisdom. I am a keen entrepreneur with business savvy and style. I dress to impress; my designs are well sought after. I am kindhearted, caring for those around me, always ready to give a kind word or a sweet smile.

I am confident in who and whose I am. I am loving and am loved. I honor and respect my husband, I protect my husband; he is well taken care of and never has to doubt my loyalty. I take care of my children; making sure he and they have everything that they need. My home is in order and my finances are in order. My clothing businesses are successful and fruitful. I sell what I make; but, not before putting the best of everything in my home.

I own land that I purchased with the income I receive. My husband is a blessed man because he knows who he is and what a prize he has in me. He is a man of integrity also. A man of influence and affluence; a man worthy to be loved, honored and cherished and I do so because I receive the same things from him. We honor our marriage and the ONE who gave it to us. We honor each other, knowing we are each other's missing part. We are mates in spirit and in soul. We love each other and we love ourselves. We are complete in God who created us and joined us together. We are blessed...I am blessed. He recognizes me as a jewel, and asset; a woman of distinct value and purpose. A woman who's irreplaceable in his heart and in his life. I am a woman whose significance in his life makes his ministry that much more powerful because no matter what, I have his back.

I am a Woman of Destiny and he sees in me all he's ever desired in a woman. I am a woman of passion, he has no need of another. I am his missing rib and I complete him perfectly as he completes me. Our union is awesome and others don't understand; however, the secret of its true power is the first entity in it. We are both people who reverence the Lord and He keeps us tightly woven together because a three-fold cord is not easily broken. We have been sealed and stamped with approval from God Almighty, who created us for one another. What God has put together; let no man, woman, or thing put it asunder.

Check your Connections.

Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. Eccl. 4: 9,10

In the path of life we tread each day, be careful with whom you become linked. Connections will either lift you up or bring you down; so when making them, always be sure to weigh the truth. Measure how much you are giving against what you receive. Be cautious of those you easily call friend and associate. Respect can and should be given to all; but, TRUST must be earned. Deserving individuals should be in your inner circle and that circle should always be protected.

Guard your heart under lock and key. Do not allow others to manipulate, fool or draw you into their deceptive nets. Carefully monitor your associations, for some you encounter will have ulterior motives and when their objective is complete they will have caused you more harm than good. Beware lest you cast your pearls before swine and they trample them under their feet and turn and tear you in pieces. Matthew 7:6

When selecting partners in any capacity, be sure that you complement one another. Respect and cherish such connections for in doing so, trust will be established and the bond secured. One sided connections become a hindrance, draining you of effectiveness. They cause frustration, inconsistencies and ultimately a strain in the union. The scripture above states that two are better than one, this is only true when the two are in agreement, striving for the same goal. It goes on to read, ...for when they fall; WOW! "they" in this portion of scripture brings illumination to the commitment needed in unity. When there is a true connection, one does not fall alone; for the other will bear him up. Commitment in friendships, every type of partnership, and relationships is essential for healthy living for by this, the last part of the scripture's truth is revealed. To lift up your companion means to cover, help, rebuild, strengthen, secure and protect them.

There is no time like "now" to start weighing your connections. As we embark upon this new year, let us vow to operate in truth and love. Love God, have faith in His truth and trust what the heart of your Spirit tells you. Walk your path, only your path and do so in righteousness. Sometimes it may seem that you are walking alone; just keep walking, pressing and moving toward your destiny. Eventually you will discover, if you walk long enough, that there are others striving toward the same goal. These are those with whom you will want to connect, like-minded individuals who are striving for success.

I agree with the scripture, two truly are better than one and when you understand and apply the Word, it brings life. So make those connections that will sustain you in tough times and be willing to give support as well. Put God first in all you do for though two are better than one, this same chapter in Ecclesiastes later records, "a threefold cord is not easily broken". The first partnership you should pursue is one with God; for in destiny... He reveals it and you fulfill it... how glorious is that!

To BE or Not to BE, that is the question?

Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof: and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit. Eccl. 7:8

The beauty of a thing shining forth at the end reminds me of an artist at work. In the beginning we see an empty canvas, void of life and without vibrancy of color. Looking at it, one can not tell what manner of artistry it will exhibit in the end. The first unsteady or powerful brush stroke still does not reveal the potential masterpiece that could appear at the work's end, and so it is with life.

Throughout the process of creating there are bound to be accidents, mistakes and disappointments associated with bad choices; but, through diligence, persistence and faith the end result will be worth all that one must endure. As with that empty canvas, each individual life also brings with it the potential to become a masterpiece of expression and truth; however, this will not happen without also experiencing various emotions. Pain and disappointment, trials and tribulations, successes, victories and blessing will accompany life, but in the end; the trying of your faith will work patience and when patience has its perfect work you will be perfect, entire and wanting nothing.

I've discovered that when we set out to achieve great successes in life, whether through artistic endeavors or ministerial works, we can expect to meet with great sorrow and oppositions from every hand. Expect heartbreak, setbacks and discouragement from those you know, love and trust; those who claim to have your best interest at heart. Accepting a call or having been chosen to do a work for the Lord can bring out negativity in skeptics, yet when these things occur, still expect to WIN. Trust that in the end life will deliver to you "better" than what you began with. Trust God and move toward your destiny!!!

Have faith! "For without faith it is impossible to please Him". Hebrews 11:6
